Is Your Commute Ruining Your Happiness?
May 9th, 2009 · 8 Comments
I thought this Postsecret was very interesting. I wonder how many people actually like their commutes. I wonder how improved some lives could be without the commute. What if you could stop commuting but it meant a couple thousand less per year? I wonder what trade-offs people would make to be able to quit commuting.

A Man Named Pearl
March 24th, 2009 · No Comments
Pearl Fryar is a very cool, very energetic dude who created a beautiful garden in his yard from discarded plants tossed out by a local nursery.
I recommend sitting down with some hot tea and being prepared to feel as though you are a very lazy slug when you’re all done watching it. He’s just one [...]

The Fine Art of Copyright

This was a topic we previously discussed on the Cafe. A friend saw this article and forwarded it. If Fairey only ran the photo through a digital filter, then yeah, I think it’s more like infringement. However, if he did this by hand and even with help of digital, I think that it’s valid on [...]

Thanks for the Letter That You Sent

It will be interesting to see if this song is yanked off of YouTube for copyright issues. I have found it sad and amusing how people who once were real punks and anti-establishment can’t stand a little sharing of their music. If it’s not making money every single time it’s played, then they just aren’t [...]
